On January 21st, I came to you to get your opinion on my back and left thigh pain and to discuss options on how to relieve this pain permanently.
I had had surgery at Laser Spine Institute on L5-S1 in 2010, but that apparently did not address or correct all my issues. Your website helped me play an active roll in the process by having great information and videos that explain all sorts of procedures.
On January 26th, you performed a left SED on L3-L4 L4-L5 with Foraminoplasty and Rhizotomy on L3, L4 and L5. On February 9th, I went in for my 2 week post-op check up concerned because I had a totally new pain, but this time on the skin surface of my left upper buttock. I was told it was nerve pain from the decompression and it I should go away, eventually. All I could think of was what you told me during our first meeting, “I am a great surgeon, but I am not Jesus. I will do my best but you may have some dysesthesia”. I thought, “Oh my! How am I going to handle this and how long would it last?”
It is now 2 days short of 1 month after my surgery and the post-op pain is almost completely gone and I feel great, inside and out! I have walked and walked and even walked the entire Mesa swap meet with no pain and only occasional numbness in my left leg. I walked more this last month than I have in 8 years. I know how slowly nerves heal, but I am confident that I am well on my way to getting my life back and it being a pain free life at that. I am so excited!
So, I want to say, “Thank you, Jesus and thank you, Dr. Anthony Yeung!!” I feel I did some great research and found the perfect surgeon to care for me, even if it meant driving all the way from Florida.
Every person I encountered at the facility was courteous and helpful; from the first phone call to scheduling, billing, MA’s, PA’s and surgical staff. They are the backbone of your practice and all have important positions. Please thank them for me.
In closing, I would like to praise you and thank you, again. I am very pleased with my results so far and look forward to many pain free days in my future.
